Orange, Calif.-based Sonrava Health is one of the largest DSOs in the U.S., supporting more than 500 practices across its dental brands.
Here are seven updates on the company from this year:
1. Jared Baker joined the company as chief growth officer.
2. Sonrava Health appointed Judd Tirnauer as CFO and executive vice president.
3. Mikhail Gorbatenko was named senior vice president of revenue cycle management.
4. Sonrava Health and several of its dental subsidiaries agreed to pay $540,000 to resolve allegations that it fraudulently submitted claims for reimbursement under Medicare and Medicaid.
5. The company named Mariah Machnikowski as chief human resources officer and Greg Michelini as chief information officer.
6. In May, Western Dental, a Sonrava Health subsidiary, said it could be forced to close up to 50 of its practice locations if proposed cuts to the Medi-Cal dental program advance.
7. Preet Takkar joined the company as its newest CEO in March.
