Cal Dental USA has partnered with former MLB player Yasiel Puig and XSport Mouthguards to create a mouthguard to prevent oral and facial injuries in baseball.
The custom-fitted mouthguards will be available beginning in September at participating Cal Dental USA offices, youth organizations and online, according to a June 3 news release.
Cal Dental previously partnered with XSport and former NFL player Tiki Barber to expand the use of mouthguards to help prevent Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. The DSO regularly partners with sports industry figures to promote oral health initiatives and support dental practices.
Cal Dental USA operates 23 clinics in California.
