Ssun Health founder Eric Nuss is facing multiple legal challenges after the DSO’s failed business venture, ABC affiliate Denver 7 reported Sept. 8.

Four notes:

1. Ssun Health was founded in 2018 and grew to support more than 10 practices in multiple states.

2. The company’s downfall reportedly started more than a year later as employees and vendors complained of not being paid and leases were not honored.

3. A court receiver was appointed to take over operations after the DSO defaulted on loans totaling more than $8 million.

4. In addition to filing for personal bankruptcy, Mr. Nuss faces multiple other legal challenges and allegations of malfeasance and questionable spending.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
