Heartland Dental: 6 big moves in 2021

Here are six moves by the DSO this year:

  1. The DSO added 348 practices this year.
  2. The DSO selected Dentira for clinical supply procurement at its practices. 
  3. Heartland Dental launched several diversity initiatives to strengthen the work environment for its employees, including training programs to enhance the staff recruitment process, employee resource groups and the appointment of Nick Hornsberry as the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion manager.
  4. Heartland Dental closed its strategic transaction with American Dental Partners, which allowed the Wakefield, Mass.-based DSO’s practices to utilize Heartland Dental for marketing, office operations, information technology, human resources and payer relations.
  5. The organization named Stacy DeWalt its chief marketing officer and executive vice president.
  6. Heartland Dental extended its supply contract with Envista Holdings for four years.
