Here are four DSOs that have been acquired by larger DSOs, private equity companies and other organizations so far this year:
1. Great Neck, N.Y.-based The Smilist acquired BrookBeam Dental, a dental partnership organization supporting 16 offices in New York.
2. Avenel, N.J.-based Eastern Dental Management was acquired by Branford Castle Partners, a private equity firm. Eastern Dental Management, a DSO with 20 practice locations in New Jersey, was previously owned by an affiliate of Staple Street Capital.
3. Dallas-based Smile Doctors acquired myOrthos, an orthodontic support organization with more than 70 practice locations across 13 states.
4. Delta Dental of Wisconsin purchased Madison, Wis.-based Cherry Tree Dental, which has several locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota.
