Several DSOs appointed new C-suite leaders, and two dental schools will soon get new deans. Here are 10 recent dental leadership moves:

1. Atlanta-based D4C Dental Brands appointed John Williamson COO.

2. Chicago-based Bright Direction Dental promoted Nisheeth Singh to the role of CEO. 

3. Chicago-based Phase 1 Equity appointed Kristen Cusack CEO. 

4. Oral health company Quip added five members to its dental advisory board.

5. The University of Pikeville (Ky.) named Pamela Sparks-Stein, DMD, dean of its upcoming College of Dental Health. 

6. Atlanta-based DSO Benevis added Marina Miller as its new vice president of talent acquisition. 

7. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental tapped Kirsty Leyland as chief human resources officer.

8. Mark Taubman, MD, CEO of University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center and dean of the School of Medicine and Dentistry, will retire in December 2023.

9. Tim Holland, DDS, was installed as president of the Minnesota Dental Association for the 2022-23 term. 

10. Irving, Texas-based U.S. Oral Surgery Management hired Erik Pahl as general counsel and chief compliance officer.
