Mr. Miller has been with Delta Dental since 2001 and most recently served as executive vice president, according to a March 9 news release.
Scott Jones, the previous president and CEO, is set to retire in April after being in the position for 33 years. Mr. Jones was the company’s third employee after joining as head of sales in 1977.
Mr. Jones will continue to work with the company in a part-time capacity as president of the Delta Dental of South Dakota Foundation, the release said.
