Dr. Wong has been serving as interim chair of the department since July 2022. Her permanent appointment was effective April 12, according to a news release from the university.
She is an associate professor and alumna of the university. She has helped enhance the dental program by increasing and promoting interdisciplinary collaborations, improving the recruitment process and implementing new digital technologies, the release said.
