Senate Bill 2354 aimed to address the dentist shortage in North Dakota by allowing dental hygienists to provide a greater scope of care, but the bill has died, according to a report by The Jamestown Sun.
If the bill had passed, North Dakota would have become the fourth state to allow mid-level dental providers, according to the report.
Senator Dick Dever (R-Bismarck) sponsored the bill.
