19 states where dentists are reporting zero-day supply of face shields, per ADA

Some dentists in 19 states are reporting a zero-day supply of face shields as of Dec. 14, according to the American Dental Association’s latest COVID-19 economic impact survey.

When asked “How many days’ worth of face shields does your practice have at this time?” some respondents in these states said “zero.”

Arizona: 2.4 percent

California: 0.4

Florida: 1.3

Hawaii*: 5.0

Illinois: 0.7

Kentucky*: 3.8

Maryland: 1.7

Michigan: 2.1

Missouri: 5.2

Montana*: 5.6

New York: 1.8

North Carolina: 1.2

Oklahoma*: 7.7

Pennsylvania: 2.2

South Dakota*: 10.0

Texas: 2.7

Utah*: 4.3

Virginia: 1.5

Washington: 1.2

*State had fewer than 30 responses.
