Dentsply Sirona in 2022: 11 moves

From a leadership makeover to an expansion of its digital dentistry portfolio, here are 11 moves from dental supply company Dentsply Sirona that Becker's has reported on since Feb. 25:

1. Former Dentsply Sirona CFO Jorge Gomez resigned and was replaced by Glenn Coleman, who began serving as CFO and executive vice president Sept. 26.

2. Dentsply Sirona is adding Primescan Connect, a laptop-based version of its intraoral scanner Primescan, to its digital dentistry portfolio.

3. Dentsply Sirona announced that Walter Petersohn will step down from his position as senior vice president and chief commercial officer.

4. Don Casey was fired as CEO of Dentsply Sirona in April and replaced by Simon Campion Sept. 12.

5. Dentsply Sirona terminated Chief Accounting Officer Ranjit Chadha, effective Sept. 2, and replaced him with Richard Wagner.

6. Dentsply Sirona missed the Aug. 9 deadline to file its second-quarter financial report.

7. Dentsply Sirona received a notice of filing delinquency from Nasdaq after an ongoing internal investigation kept it from filing its first-quarter financial report.

8. Dentsply Sirona is being investigated by the Bernstein Liebhard law firm for possible violations of federal securities law violations.

9. Dentsply Sirona is launching a cloud-based digital dentistry platform in collaboration with Google Cloud.

10. Dentsply Sirona partnered with the Platform for Better Oral Health in Europe, an organization that aims to improve oral health in Europe.

11. Dentsply Sirona partnered with the FDI World Dental Federation and oral health nonprofit Smile Train to develop digital resources to support patients with clefts.
