Traverse City, Mich., Phillip Yancho, DDS, and Bill Lee, DDS, are providing veterans without dental insurance free dental care according to The Detroit News.

1. Drs. Yancho and Lee recently received the 2017 Public Service Award from the Michigan Dental Association.
2. Last year, the two provided 38 veterans nearly $250,000 worth of free dental care.
3. Both Drs. Yancho and Lee are providing support to the Victors for Veterans program, which provides dental support to veterans throughout the nation.
4. Victors for Veterans is looking to hold 10 more clinics over the next year to provide everything from routine cleanings to restoration and beyond.
5. Currently the Veterans Administration's Dental Insurance Program is not enrolling new patients, leaving many of 723,000 veterans in the area without dental benefits.
