Dallas-based Smile Doctors is one of the largest DSOs in the U.S., supporting more than 560 offices in 36 states.
Here is what the DSO accomplished this year:
1. Smile Doctors was included on Newsweek‘s list of the greatest workplaces for inclusion and diversity in 2025.
2. The DSO was also included on Newsweek‘s ranking of America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care for 2025.
3. The DSO added two new practices and completed two joint venture acquisitions in November.
4. Smile Doctors was listed as one of the most acquisitive private equity-backed DSOs since 2021 in PitchBook’s “Healthcare Services Report” for the first quarter of 2025.
5. The DSO marked six new affiliate practices and one de novo location during the first quarter.
6. Smile Doctors acquired myOrthos in March, an orthodontic support organization with more than 70 practice locations across 13 states.
