More dental practices and DSOs believe salivary diagnostics will become a new standard of care and improve patient outcomes and advance oral systemic healthcare.
Here are four recent updates about salivary diagnostics:
1. Vaca and Kirby Dental in Longview, Texas, is using salivary diagnostic testing to enhance overall health in its patients.
3. The American Dental Association invested funds into Oral Genome, a developer of a salivary test that detects biomarkers associated with caries and periodontitis.
3. Carlsbad, Calif.-based Oral Genome, a salivary diagnostics developer, is partnering with Global Group to combat oral health disparities worldwide. Through this pilot initiative, the companies will deploy Oral Genome’s salivary test kit in regions that traditionally lack adequate care, including in the U.S., EMEA, South Asia and Central Asia.
4. Avesis, a dental and vision insurance company, is partnering with the Harmony Health Foundation to provide salivary diagnostic services to patients with special needs.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
