From dentist leaders joining DSO affiliations to a dentist being under board investigation for billing fraud, here are seven dentists who made news in the last week:
1. Scott Burke, DMD, and Leigh Philbrick, DMD, became equity partners with Waltham, Mass.-based 42 North Dental after an affiliation with the DSO.
2. Haritha Sambaraju, DDS, leads Chicago-based Aspen Dental's new office in Plano, Texas.
3. Joshua Howard, DMD, became an equity partner in 42 North Dental after an affiliation with the DSO.
4. Melvin Donesky, DDS, was charged with sexual battery of an employee.
5. Jason White, DDS, was denied release from jail amid child pornography charges. He also was sued by a dental manufacturing company for unpaid bills.
6. Michael Hasson, DDS, who is charged with sexually assaulting sedated patients between 2014 and 2019, is being investigated by the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners for billing fraud.
