Two dental practices that closed and five other dental practice updates that have taken place since April 10:
1. Dental Care Team reopened its office in Grand Blanc, Mich., after undergoing renovations for a year.
2. Summerbrook Dental Group in Aurora, Colo., shut down after its owner, James Craig, DDS, was arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of his wife.
3. Los Angeles-based West Coast Dental and Orthodontics will open a new location at the site of a former restaurant in Hesperia, Calif.
4. White Smiles Family Dentistry is closing one of its three locations after being unable to fill a vacant dentist position for the office.
5. Kaleigh Fulmer McGhee, DDS, is taking over Fulmer Dentistry in Kenosha, Wis., after her father's retirement.
6. Scott Funke, DDS, of Med City Dental in Rochester, Minn., purchased a former realty office for $785,000 to relocate his practice.
7. Matthew Janda, DDS, owner of Janda Family Dentistry in Sterling, Colo., retired after 42 years in practice and sold his practice to Carly Schrade, DDS.
