1. Miami-based Guardian Dentistry Partners added Collegeville Dental Center, led by Tamara Volkova, DMD, to its network.
2. Camp Hill, Pa.-based Progressive Dental Concepts recently acquired Premier Dental of Gettysburg, reaching 19 total practices in central Pennsylvania.
3. A Forest Hills, Pa., dental practice suffered major damage after a car crashed into it.
4. State legislators are considering expanding dental services covered by Medicaid.
5. A former employee of a Pennsylvania dental practice was sentenced to at least 12 months in prison for stealing more than $20,000 in cash from the practice.
6. The Pennsylvania House Education Committee advanced a bill that would allow public health dental hygienists to perform school dental screenings.
