1. Batesville, Ark.-based Lyon College is searching for a new location for its new dental and veterinary schools after a property deal fell through.
2. Jill Keaton, DMD, was appointed dean of the University of Pikeville (Ky.) Tanner College of Dental Medicine.
3. Several factors could prevent Florida Atlantic University from opening its new dental school.
4. Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences received $12 million in grant funding from Delta Dental of Washington for its upcoming dental school in Yakima, Wash.
5. The University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco and Stanford (Ca.) University are partnering to advance training for oral health researchers.
6. The University of Iowa College of Dentistry is treating more Medicaid patients from private dental practices.
