Christian O’Connor, DMD, was accused in 2021 of billing Medicaid for more than $200,000 in services he didn’t perform. In November, Dr. O’Connor agreed to a plea deal to help him avoid prison time.
Dr. O’Connor was sentenced to five years in prison, which was suspended, and three years of conditional discharge, according to a March 4 news release from the Connecticut State Division of Criminal Justice. He also paid $200,484.52 in restitution and was ordered not to act as a provider in the state’s Medicaid program.
