North Carolina dental office under new ownership following dentist’s death

Brevard, N.C.-based Carolina Smiles Family Dental purchased a dental office in Etowah following the death of the former owner, Hendersonville Times-News reported March 21.

The office was formerly owned by William Newsom III, DDS, who died in October at the age of 72.

Carolina Smiles Family Dental recently reopened the office after purchasing it from Dr. Newsom’s family. The office is now led by Richie Gunnell, DDS, and David Whitlow, DDS.

Dr. Gunnell said the office was also renovated and includes updated equipment and technology.
