- The University of Iowa College of Dentistry is seeking permission from the Iowa Board of Regents for an $8.5 million to $10.5 million expansion of its research laboratory space.
- MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is opening a dental clinic to expand services in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.
- The West Virginia University School of Dentistry’s inaugural pediatric dentistry residency cohort recently graduated, completing the first and only pediatric dental residency program in the state.
- The University of California San Francisco selected Suffolk and CO Architects to complete its $278 million dental school project.
- Researchers at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Eastman Institute for Oral Health received a five-year, $3.1 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research to develop an AI-powered platform designed to detect oral disease outside of traditional dental clinics.
- The University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry launched an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in partnership with UI Health Mile Square Health Center, a federally qualified health center serving underserved communities.
- Richmond-based Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry received a $5 million gift from the Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation.

- A research team led by Case Western Reserve University’s School of Dental Medicine received a five-year, $2.93 million grant to develop a noninvasive chairside test that could help clinicians determine whether an oral lesion needs a biopsy.
