Here are four DSOs that were formed in 2022 that Becker's has reported on since Feb. 2:
1. Straine Dental Consulting formed a dentist-owned and led DSO, Straine Dental Management, by joining Straine Dental Consulting with 33 independent dental practices across 11 states.
2. Private equity firm Thurston Group created a DSO by merging Dental Partners of Southwest Georgia, Garner Dental Group and South Georgia Dental Management.
3. Eau Claire​, Wis.-based Simko Specialty Dental and private equity firm Blue Sea Capital have entered a strategic partnership to form Specialty Smile Partners.
4. Private equity firm Shore Capital Partners founded OMS360, an oral surgeon support organization.
