10 DSO moves shaping the industry

Here are 10 notable DSO moves that have taken place so far in 2024:

  1. Chicago-based Aspen Dental launched a marketing campaign celebrating its clinician-focused investments.
  2. Atlanta-based Benevis called on primary care providers to work with dentists on establishing dental care for children. 
  3. Salt Lake City-based SPP Dental Partners expanded its network into Nevada.
  4. Denver-based Lone Peak Dental Group received an investment from BlackRock and Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System.
  5. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Dental365 added Dynamic Growth, a group with six dental practices throughout Pennsylvania.
  6. Hackensack, N.J.-based Max Surgical Specialty Management expanded into New York and Vermont.
  7. St. Louis-based Oral Surgery Partners received a credit expansion of more than $400 million to invest in the company's infrastructure and complete additional acquisitions.
  8. Charlotte, N.C.-based Flagship Specialty Partners added Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery to its network, its first partner practice in the state. 
  9. Several DSOs began offering discounted treatment opportunities for former patients of the now-defunct SmileDirectClub. 
  10. Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services is supporting several initiatives in honor of American Heart Month.
