8 DSO moves reshaping dentistry

Here are eight notable DSO moves that are part of larger dental industry trends, including investments, de novo openings and technology rollouts:

1. Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance expanded its partnership with dental AI company Overjet, integrating AI across three dental workflows.

2. Gen4 Dental Partners, Modis Dental Partners and SGA Dental Partners merged under one brand.

3. Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Smile Brands selected Pearl as its dental AI partner, and has started rolling out the technology to its practices. 

4. Chicago-Aspen Dental opened an office in Liberty, Mo.

5. Sarasota, Fla.-based Parkview Dental Partners opened a de novo practice in Tampa, Fla. 

6. Denver-based Lone Peak Dental Group received a $15 million mezzanine debt investment from o15 Capital Partners, an alternative investment firm.

7. Henderson, Nev.-based PDS Health added five new de novo practices in five states.

8. Sharon, Mass.-based Qualitas Dental Partners increased its credit facilities with a long-term lender to support future acquisitions.
