Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental has expanded its network in several states this year, with more partnerships and de novos in the pipeline.
Eleven updates from the DSO in 2026:
1. Heartland Dental was ranked among America’s best-in-state employers by Forbes.
2. Heartland Dental added six offices to its network in July.
3. The DSO added six de novo offices to its network in June.
4. The DSO added eight practices to its network in May.
5. S&P Global Ratings raised its issuer credit rating on Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental, upgrading the issue-level rating on its senior secured debt to from “B-” to “B.”
6. In April, the DSO opened six de novo practices in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. It also partnered with five offices in four states.
7. Heartland Dental broke ground on a new practice in Glen Carbon, Ill.
8. Heartland Dental received a permit for the construction of a 4,260-square-foot practice in St. Augustine.
9. In March, the DSO opened five de novo practices in Washington, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida and Minnesota. It also affiliated with two practices.
10. Heartland Dental opened five de novos and added one partnership in February.
11. Heartland Dental added seven offices to its network in January.
