What 7 DSO giants accomplished in 30 days

From practice affiliations to new leadership appointments, here is what seven of the largest DSOs in the U.S. have accomplished since Nov. 8:

1. Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services and Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare opened their first co-located integrated office in Irvine, Calif.

2. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental announced it will add VideaHealth’s artificial intelligence technology to its more than 1,700-practice network. The DSO also added two partner practices in Florida.

3. Morrisville, N.C.-based Affordable Care opened two Affordable Dentures & Implants locations in Virginia and Ohio. It also appointed Jumoke Adedoyin, DDS, and Daniel Fenton, DMD, its chief clinical officers.

4. Dallas-based MB2 Dental added partner practices in Arizona and New York.

5. Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance added its 20th Wisconsin dental practice and the Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry. It also named Jason Heffelfinger as its next CEO.

6. Dale Hockel Jr. joined Southfield, Mich.-based Great Expressions Dental Centers as its COO. 

7. The Aspen Group appointed Hyung Bak as chief legal and compliance officer.
