Ohio and New York were the states where DSOs and dental groups were most active with practice additions, acquisitions and openings during January 2026.
Those states saw at least two DSO moves in January, as reported by Becker’s:
Ohio
- Houston-based Specialty1 Partners completed a multispecialty joint venture between two practices in Ohio.
- New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Premier Care Dental Management acquired Blank Dental Group, Laskey Dental Care and Great Smiles Family Dentistry, all located throughout Ohio.
- Troy, Mich.-based Smile Partners USA expanded into Ohio, its sixth market.
- Chicago-based Phase 1 Equity added a multi-site orthodontic practice in Ohio to its network.
