Dr. Elisa Velazquez sworn in as New Jersey Dental Association president

Elisa Velazquez, DMD, was installed as the 155th president of the New Jersey Dental Association.

Dr. Velazquez joined the New Jersey Dental Association as a member in 2001 after completing her pediatric residency, according to a June 6 news release. 

She is also currently the president of the New Jersey Hispanic Dental Association and is the treasurer of Dental Lifeline Network. In addition, Dr. Velazquez is the immediate past president of the New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Velazquez owns and operates three pediatric dentistry and orthodontic practices in New Jersey.

Amit Vora, DDS, was named president-elect and Antoinette Tauk, DDS, was named vice president of the association for the 2024-25 term, the release said.
