Southern Dental Alliance, 32-practice DSO, bought by New York private equity firm

New York-based private equity investment firm Pouschine Cook Capital purchased dental services organization Southern Dental Alliance, according to PE Hub.

Here's what you should know:

1. Southern Dental Alliance has 32 practices in Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina.

2. Regarding the deal, Southern Dental Alliance CEO Mark Lakis said it will help the organization move forward into the next phase of growth. Mr. Lakis said, "The team at Pouschine Cook understands and supports Southern Dental Alliance's strategy and core beliefs, including our founder model, and they have a strong track record of helping their portfolio companies succeed."

3. The transaction's co-investors included Pantheon Ventures, Stockwell Capital, QS Capital Strategies as well as a Pouschine Cook affiliate.
