Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental is the largest DSO in the U.S., most recently hitting a major network milestone and acquiring another group.
Six notable updates since July:
1. Heartland Dental announced that it hit 2,000 supported offices Oct. 21, becoming the first DSO in the U.S. to reach the milestone.
2. Heartland closed its transaction with Alpharetta, Ga.-based Foundation Dental Partners, a 33-practice DSO.
3. Heartland Dental added five de novos and one practice partnership to its network in September.
4. The DSO launched Conuity Care Coordination to better connect general dentists, specialty providers and patients. The platform combines technology and care coordination services to manage specialty dental care across referral, scheduling, treatment and follow-up.
5. In August, Heartland Dental was ranked among America’s best-in-state employers by Forbes.
6. A federal judge dismissed a proposed class-action lawsuit alleging that Heartland Dental’s AI use violated the Federal Wiretap Act.
