1. Marcelo Araujo, DDS, PhD, will begin a new role as dean of the University at Buffalo (N.Y.) School of Dental Medicine May 15.
2. The University of Alabama at Birmingham recently launched a national registry to conduct research on outcomes of dental implant services.
3. El Paso-based Texas Tech Hunt School of Dental Medicine received a $25,000 gift from Encanto Dental Group.
4. The University at Buffalo (N.Y.) School of Dental Medicine launched a mentoring program for staff and faculty.
