Several DSOs and private equity companies have acquired smaller groups this year as organizations look to strengthen their networks.

Here are three notable deals from this year:

1. Great Neck, N.Y.-based The Smilist affiliated with BrookBeam Dental, a dental partnership organization supporting 16 offices in New York.

2. Avenel, N.J.-based Eastern Dental Management was acquired by Branford Castle Partners, a private equity firm. Eastern Dental Management, a DSO with 20 practice locations in New Jersey, was previously owned by an affiliate of Staple Street Capital.

3. Dallas-based Smile Doctors acquired myOrthos, an orthodontic support organization with more than 70 practice locations across 13 states.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
