Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance has largely focused on beefing up its leadership team amid its practice affiliations and technology investments over the last few years.

1. Dental Care Alliance promoted Victoria Johnson to chief revenue officer.

2025

1. Dental Care Alliance launched its Women of DCA employee resource group to support the personal and professional development of women in the dental field.

2. Dental Care Alliance named Trey Mueller, DMD, its new chief clinical officer.

3. The DSO named Johnny Cho its director of M&A and partnerships.

4. Clayton Russell joined the company as vice president of operational strategy.

5. Dental Care Alliance honored its top-performing dental providers during its inaugural President’s Club event.

1. Christin Lisenby was appointed vice president of hygiene, and Tracy Petrovic was appointed senior vice president of field operations of Dental Care Alliance.

3. The DSO appointed Eric Tobler, DMD, as chief clinical officer. 

4. The company announced plans to add Patient Prism’s artificial intelligence-backed conversational intelligence platform across its network. 

5. Dental Care Alliance partnered with dental artificial intelligence company Overjet to implement AI technology across its network of practices.

6. The company became the first large-scale DSO to launch guided biofilm therapy to its network.

2023

3. Dental Care Alliance promoted James Nick from chief revenue officer to COO.

4. The DSO affiliated with its 20th practice in Wisconsin.

5. Dental Care Alliance added four practices in Georgia, partnering with Atlanta Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, Sparkling Smiles in Fayetteville, Austell Dental Associates and Rivertown Dental Care in Columbus to its network of practices.

6. The company added Webster Cosmetic and Family Dentistry in Dover, Del., its second office in Delaware.

7. Dental Care Alliance made its first addition in Rhode Island by affiliating with Hodosh Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry, located in Providence.

14. Dental Care Alliance reached 50 affiliated practices in the Midwest with the addition of East Village Dental Centre of Chicago.

15. Dental Care Alliance expanded its footprint in New Jersey with the addition of Old Bridge-based KidZdent.

16. The company was acquired by Mubadala Investment Co., a sovereign investor based in the United Arab Emirates.
