Here are eight updates on Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental, Chicago-based Aspen Dental and Irvine, Calif.-based Pacific Dental Services, the three largest DSOs in the U.S., that Becker's has reported on since Sept. 6:
Heartland Dental
1. A newly built retail building in Kyle, Texas, that includes a Heartland Dental practice was sold.
2. Heartland Dental provided more than $1.8 million in dental services during its third annual Companywide Free Dentistry Day.
3. A retail property in Goodyear, Ariz., including Heartland Dental and Apex Physical Therapy, sold for $4.46 million.
4. A case study conducted by Heartland Dental and Bola AI found that practices that implemented Bola AI's technology saved staff's time while creating a positive return on investment.
Aspen Dental
1. The construction of an Aspen Dental location in Derry, N.H., was completed.
2. A retail center in Oak Park Heights, Minn., including an Aspen Dental practice, sold for $5.8 million.
Pacific Dental Services
1. Pacific Dental Services Foundation awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships to dental assisting students.
2. Pacific Dental Services provided more than $10.6 million in dental services to more than 3,500 patients during its annual Smile Generation Serve Day.
