32 DSOs making headlines

From new DSOs being formed to network expansions, here are DSO moves Becker's has covered since April 4:

1. Gen4 Dental Partners expanded its Minnesota presence after adding three Rochester-based practices to its network.

2. Imagen Dental Partners expanded its footprint in Texas with the addition of Waco-based Heart of Texas Smiles to its network.

3. Aspen Dental partnered with the Dental Assisting National Board and its affiliate organization, the Dale Foundation, to invest in dental radiography training and credentials for dental assistants in the Aspen Dental network.

4. Aspen Group is partnering with Ace Surgical Supply to add bone-grafting products at its practices.

5. Smile Brands added Santa Fe, N.M.-based dental practice Radiate by McQuitty to its network.

6.Straine Dental Consulting formed a dentist-owned and led DSO, Straine Dental Management.

7. Premier Care Dental Management launched a scholarship program for its employees and their family members.

8. Imagen Dental Partners added its first Michigan practice to its network.

9. Julie Frantsve-Hawley, PhD, executive director of the Aspen Group's Oral Care Center for Excellence, received the Presidential Award from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry.

10. Today's Dental Network added Sarasota, Fla.-based Middleton Oral Surgery to its network.

11. U.S. Endo Partners added Florida Root Canal Specialists to its network, which has locations in Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

12. Imagen Dental Partners added its first Texas practice.

13. Richard Workman, DMD, founder of Effingham, Ill.-based DSO Heartland Dental, and his wife, Angela, donated $5 million to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry.

14. Onsite Dental, an employer-based dental care company, has acquired Dental Excellence Partners and entered a partnership with Cano Health.

15. U.S. Endo Partners added Issaquah (Wash.) Endodontics to its network.

16. U.S. Oral Surgery Management added its third Indiana practice to its network.

17. Dental Care Alliance opened Konikoff Kids Pediatric Dentistry's third location in Chesapeake, Va.

18. Former Rite-Aid executive Rob Mullins joined Gen4 Dental Partners as COO.

19. U.S. Endo Partners added Isolani Endodontics & Magnolia Endodontics, which has locations in Mandeville, La., and Gulfport, Miss., to its practice network.

20. Gen4 Dental Partners expanded its Utah footprint with the addition of Pony Express Dental, which has locations in South Jordan, Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs.

21. Simko Specialty Dental and private equity firm Blue Sea Capital entered a strategic partnership to form Specialty Smile Partners.

22. U.S. Endo Partners added two practices in Missouri and Montana.

23. Endo1 Partners acquired Bloomfield, Mich.-based endodontic group Endodontic Associates.

24. Pacific Dental Services launched an integrated medical-dental practice in Las Vegas.

25. Aspen Dental trained more than 1,400 dentists on dental implant services since December 2020 and aims to train 700 more this year.

26. Select Dental Management added four practices to expand its network and specialty services.

30. Cordental Group acquired Gateway Dental Group in Des Moines, Iowa, and the practice of Barry Liebman, DDS, in St. Louis.

32. Imagen Dental Partners added Bloomington, Minn.-based Harmony Dental to its network.
